The Mucky lane riders
Formed in 2010 as the Yorkshire Dales area group of the RSF, we organise social rides with a good mix of off-road, rideable tracks and quieter lanes in the Dales and surrounding areas. On occasion, we put on rides that are essentially on tarmac. Normally these take place in winter when the tracks are out of condition for pleasant riding. The pace of the rides is to suit the slowest member of the group! Where possible we offer the local cafes our custom. We normally try to find a cafe or country pub for a lunch stop. We hope to have time to enjoy the views (when we can see them!), have a chat and to stop to look at interesting places.
'Mucky Lane' for those who don't know the area is a real bridleway leading to/from Rylstone (as featured in the Calendar Girls film) near Cracoe. We have adopted this name as we spread our rides beyond the Yorkshire Dales and indeed sometimes into other counties!
Mucky Events
Our rides start at 10 am. If you are traveling some distance to join us please let us know in advance. If you are delayed en route then we shall wait for you!
