Where would we be without the Youth hostel? Although many of us are stretching the term 'youth' to the bounds of credibility they are still good places to stop when you're touring on your bike. If you're cyling some of the remoter routes in the Scottish Highlands then the bothy is just the thing.

 

 

  • Independant Hostels

    An excellent website to find convenient independent hostels throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Of course you may prefer B&B's or four star hotels but if you need comfortable, warm and reasonably priced start here.

    Used by RSF for years, independent hostels offer ideal accommodation for cyclists and groups.  Often in remote locations and offering secure bike storage, bunkhouses and hostels are the ideal accommodation for your next adventure

  • Scottish Bothies

    Voluntary organisation responsible for negotiating with landowners and upkeep and maintenance of innumerable bothies throughout the UK. The MBA deserve our support for helping to put a roof over our heads in some of the wildest parts of the country. The webmaster has experienced many of these in his tramps across Scotland including one with an indoor loo!
