'A Meander' because it is, or will be very similar, even perhaps the same as The Old Meander !

Meet at 9.30 for a natter and plan for a 10.30AM ride start.

Some observed that my last ride was perhaps a little tough. So for the August ride, something a little more sedate.

Also I have other commitments in late August and so will bring this ride forward to the same week as The Saddo. The Saddos ride is ON Monday the 10th Aug.

The total ride is about 20 miles and 1750 ft of ascent starting from the Rambler Cafe at Rydal Fold near Tockholes with lunch at Rivington Tea Rooms. 

Those wanting a more gentle ride can meet at the Cafe in Brinscall, at an adjusted time and start and finish from there. It saves the decent and then climb back up Butterworth Brow at the end of the ride. And so saves about 8 miles.  I believe our Chair Geoff will be doing this as he gets back into riding. I think that the main ride will get to Briscall at about 11.00 if we set off at 10.30AM.
