The RSF admin team must also point out that rides designated as members rides are precisely that, rides organised by a member and advertised here in case other members may wish to join them. We also request that all members putting a ride on add their name to the RSF ride leaders list to be covered under our insurance which you can read here. Adding your name is as simple as emailing the secretary and requesting your name be added to our ride leaders list.

Today is Tuesday morning 24hrs before this ride and I see lots of hits but no one has signed up !

The weather forecast does look poor-ish with around a 50% chance of rain, higher or lower ?

I am still intending to be on the road below Blue John and Trek Cliff Caverns around 9.45AM but the ride could well be changed and I/we ? could spend longer in a cafe or pub than intended.

Park on the road below Mam Tor, near to Blue John and Trek Cliff Caverns.

Drive down the Winnats Pass and then turn Left.
See the arrow in the StreetMap link below :-

Those who want a slightly gentler day could meet in Hope at The Adventure Cafe.

Meet on the road below Mam Tor for a 9.45AM start and a 10.30 start at the Adventure Cafe.

My plan is to ride down to Hope and part way down Edale then up over Hope Cross and then down into the Woodlands Valley, this is a rocky descent.
Some could then come back around the level side of Ladybower (which could involve a short section on the busy A57 although a bridleway should avoid it) whilst ‘WE’ could cross the A57 and go via Lockerbrooke Farm over into the Derwent Valley (this is also an ‘interesting’ decent) and come back to meet up at The Yorkshire Bridge Pub (below the Ladybower Dam near Bamford) for lunch. A gentle ‘tootle’ back over into the Hope Valley.

Please do let me know if you are coming. If no one does, then I might set off early or late or do something completely different.
