RSF - The Off Road Cycling Club

Should members of the RSF get lost near Deventer, the place I live in the Netherlands, please be welcome for 'simple b&b' (see inside front cover of the Journal for address/contact details). The 40 mile route described here takes you from just north of the town through a mixture of flatland wooded area and characteristic Salland farmland to national parc 'De Sallandse Heuvelrug'. Here you can leave this gpx route (buy a detailed map of the parc) and make a choice of numerous cycle routes within the parc boundaries. Easy following the ordinary cycle paths on a tourer but there is also a choice of mountain bike trails, great fun since this is one of the few hilly areas around here. The town of Holten is a good place for refreshments/lunch. Start and finish: at a so called TOP (Toeristisch Overstap Punt) parking place off the N 337, the provincial road from Deventer to Zwolle (partly) along the river IJssel.
