The Puggy The Puggy Line HOT

Great afternoon or evening ride from Spean Bridge in the Highlands or even if you are passing on your way somewhere. Easily extendible to get to Fort William and back via the Caledonian canal and the Commando Memorial. Starting from the small car park on the right about 1/2 mile from Spean Bridge. Magnificent views as you climb towards the Grey Corries and Cruach Inse before turning to the right into the Leanachann forest. When you get to a new bridge and locked gate if you look carefully you will see the old path and footbridge on the right, ride over this. Ignore the large fire road and take the inviting singletrack which eventually joins the Puggy Line, an old railroad from Fort William to Loch Trieg.

This seems to go on forever until you reach the large fire roads of the Nevis Range where the route turns back on easy riding until a lovely little descent to the Spean Bridge Station. From here it's a short hop back to the car park.
