Owing to unavoidable cancellations a couple of rooms are now available:
- 1 Double room with ensuite, with shower over bath
- 1 Double room in “The Cottage”, with shared bathroom. The Cottage sleeps 5 and also has a lounge and self-catering kitchen.
Booking is by phoning the hotel, link to their contact details and website here, and paying a £100 deposit. NB with the half board package I have agreed staying at any other B and B will be more expensive. For campers there is a site locally Plas Y Cadno plus others a few miles away.
I will agree the menu in Oct for the Dec RSJ. Heather Evans has once again agreed to manage the meal bookings. Will write an article for the Feb RSJ publicing the Meet and the area. I have agreed with Henk the timetable for RSJ submissions. For the slide show and AGM depending on numbers (over 30) I may need to book the nearby Victoria Hall which does have a small cost
Llanwrtyd has the following facilities: train station , 2 food shops, Post Office, ATM, Library, Public Toilets, Petrol Station, 3 cafes, one other Pub. Builth Wells is 10 miles away, Llandovery is 12, Llandrindod Wells 15. Dolgoch hostel which has camping is 11 miles over the Devils Staircase .
