On the left are RSF members enjoying a spot of lunch on the Nant Rhyd Wilym. A plaque can be found here which celebrates the life of 'Wayfarer' who, with his writings and slide shows, was the inspiration of the founders of the Rough-Stuff Fellowship.
Railway sleepers form part of the track surface.
The track is mostly ridable throughout its length, However with increased use of fourwheel drive vehicles it has become badly eroded in parts.
The ascent from the Cynwyd side is the steeper than that of the other and is only rideable with the greatest of skill and difficulty.
The track from the Llanarmon DC side is more rideable. Recent work has meant that the upper part of the south side is a great deal easier to ride.
