Joining RSF online is done in two parts. First, we ask you to complete the form below. The details you supply are for RSF's records and allow us to process your application and send you confirmation of your membership. We will also send you a copy of each Journal as it is issued.

When you have sent the details on the form you will be taken to PayPal's website. You'll need details of your credit/debit card. PayPal is a leading online payment service and your credit card details will go through a secure server - look for the 'padlock' icon in your browser. PayPal can be used to send money to anyone who has an email address.

In this case, payment would be made to membership@rsf.org.uk

Please note, that if you haven't used PayPal before, then you will need to open an account with them. Although this is free, when you first register a credit card on your PayPal account, a small sum of money is transferred from your card into your PayPal account. This amount is then available for transfer within the PayPal system without charge, eg, as part payment for your RSF membership.

Please be aware also that payment through Paypal is charged in GB Pounds and you might want to consider the following points regarding charges:

  • transfer of funds already in a PayPal account - no charge
  • payment by UK credit card - no charge
  • payment by non-UK credit card - your credit card issuer may charge commission for conversion to GB Pounds; these charges vary from card to card and you should check with your issuer
  • PayPal may make charges if currency conversion is required - please check the details on PayPal's website
