WEDNESDAY GROUP RIDES.
See the details below the pictures on this page.

THURSDAY AND SUNDAY GROUP RIDES
These are easy-paced, non-competitive social events, usually calling at a cafe or two, or if you prefer, bring a packed lunch. Our routes use a mixture of quiet roads, tracks and bridleways, mileages vary between 15/35 miles, multi-day camping and hostel events are also organised. The rides take place on the second Thursday and last Sunday of every month and usually start at 10-00am, from meeting points throughout Lancashire.

Full details of these rides and their dates are shown below in the Diary.

TUESDAY RIDES TO THE DOVER CYCLING FELLOWSHIP (DCF)
Almost every Tuesday we have a ride to the DCF meeting, which is held in the Parish Hall at Lydiate. There we meet with cyclists from other clubs/groups for a chat and a short, but informative meeting about cycling matters in the area, there are usually over sixty cyclists present. We meet at 9-30am for tea/coffee at Ken Glaze's house, 8 Springmount Drive, Hilldale, near Parbold, WN8 7AP. Map ref SD493123. We leave at 10-00am for the ride through the quiet lanes of the West Lancashire Plain. Bring a packed lunch, or purchase it at Town Green on the way. Tea or coffee is available in the Parish Hall and is included in the fifty pence entry fee. We usually arrive back in Hilldale at about three o'clock for further refreshments after this 30 mile easy ride.

SATURDAY FAMILY FRIENDLY RIDES
Family rides, for the less experienced/younger cyclist take place almost every Saturday. These are less challenging routes usually of between 5 and 15 miles in length. They are suitable for all types of cycle, including tandems, cycles with child seats and tag-alongs etc. They usually take place on and around the West Pennine Moors, but sometimes we go a little farther afield.
